Around 2000 my then favourite blogger had more and more run-ins with free services, Apple, Amazon and more. She began preaching back then not to rely on a public service, which later became social networks, tumblr etc. If you need to use them, have a backup plan ready, ideally host yourself.
At the time I fully understood her arguments.
She also writes about security, privacy etc and after some problems began self publishing.

And I feel that if you begin throwing AI at something to monitor and take down based upon human interaction ... you can most likely be sure it's even more broken.
My impression is, that YT amages to pick up even more areas to fail. Too huge to (not) fail?
