I have gone off Plasma. Neon worked like charm after an update, very snappy and beautiful, but it does not have a SIM card unlock tool, or I cannot find it. Which makes me wonder. I am watching it. As of now I am on PostMarketOS. But I had to put the phone aside for now, it will take a few weeks until I will be able to check again.
So far I am still using the Android phone for daily stuff.
